Origami, all I thought it was to be

I am rather surprised at the number of people that are disappointed with the Origami release, as if they were expecting something not quite tangible. The evidence was there all along on what it was and what it could do (see the video two posts down) and I even accurately predicted it last week and it will be powered by Vista when that comes out.

It's all I wanted it to be, and all I expected it to be (though I was hoping that the first gens would have better battery life, but 3 hours is still better than my laptop) Regardless, I will wait for next year when Intel says they'll be up to 8 hours on a charge.

Microsoft sticks it to the Brits

Awhile back, it was reported that the British government wanted a backdoor into Vista because of all the new security enhancements. Well, that would undermine the whole purpose of said enhancements, wouldn't it? How long until some script kiddie finds the hole and breaks in? Apparantly, Microsoft is thinking the same way:
"Back doors are simply not acceptable," Ferguson wrote. "Besides, they wouldn't find anybody on this team willing to implement and test the back door."

Yay! Good call Microsoft!

Another cryptic ad is up on Origami Project that talks about it's mobility. Not much of a surprise if you caught that ad over the weekend!
